This is a question I am often asked by my clients. . . The conversation usually goes something like: "Ummmm, I didn't get my nails done, but you won't really see that anyway. Right?"

Well . . . Honestly, yes. Yes you will see your nails. They may not be the focus of the portrait, but you will see them!

As a professional photographer, I make sure to use the finest equipment. Which means, it will be like seeing yourself in high def . . .

So, take care of the little details! Especially, if you will notice them. It will save you retouching fees.

The Best Smile

After mom chased this little one around for nearly an hour and a half, we FINALLY got this cutie to smile!




Even the 'ole reliable treat didn't pry a smile out of him, but he sure enjoyed it!

Due to Hurricane IKE, many sessions had to cancel and were unable to re-schedule before this offered ended, so I've decided to extended the offer for TWO weeks!


October 26, 2008, is the last day this offer is available.

Each FREE session will last about 45 minutes to an hour and a half and take place at a local venue of my choice (usually a park). In addition, you will receive a private online gallery, one FREE 8x10 of your choice, and a 25% discount off of my regular prices should you want to order additional prints.

For these sessions, I prefer to shoot young children (think 4-ish and younger) and families with young children.

Sessions will be by appointment only, and you will be my only appointment of the day. This ensures that I'm at my best, that our time together is relaxed, and that we capture the best time of day for lighting (usually early morning or late afternoon).

CANCELLED: 'Christmas In September'

Dear clients, it is with a heavy heart that I cancel the scheduled beach sessions for the 'Christmas In September' shoot.

With the devastation caused by hurricane IKE, I doubt that we could even gain access to the beach, and it would irresponsibly inappropriate to flaunt Christmas joy in the faces of all of those on the coast who have lost so much.

I will offer other specials to celebrate the upcoming holiday season at a later date. Please keep checking here for more details.

Should anyone be interested in helping with the recovery effort from hurricane IKE, please contact Parkway United Methodist Church to see where you can serve.

Paul's New Beginning

Yesterday I had the opportunity to capture the image for Pastor Paul Clines' new beginning at First UMC of Houston's Westchase campus. While Pastor Paul will be greatly missed at Parkway UMC, I pray for many blessings on him, his family, and his new church home.

Each FREE session will last about 45 minutes to an hour and a half and take place at a local venue of my choice (usually a park). In addition, you will receive a private online gallery, one FREE 8x10 of your choice, and a 25% discount off of my regular prices should you want to order additional prints.

For these sessions, I prefer to shoot young children (think 4-ish and younger) and families with young children.

Sessions will be by appointment only, and you will be my only appointment of the day. This ensures that I'm at my best, that our time together is relaxed, and that we capture the best time of day for lighting (usually early morning or late afternoon).

Although sessions will be at no cost to you, a credit card will be needed to secure your session along with a completed contract. Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance. Your credit card will only be billed if you do not provide adequate cancellation notice. Thanks for understanding.

Christmas in September

The 1st annual Christmas in September will be held Saturday, September 20th & Sunday, September 21st at the beach (specific directions given when session booked). In lieu of a "snowman" we will have our very own "sandman"!

Lamar Little League Allstars

The Lamar Little League Allstars had a FANTASTIC playoff season. I went to as many games as I could, and they won sectionals, district, and area. To congratulate them on such a great run, I made them these awesome trading cards:

The boys made it all the way to the State Finals Tournament where they came in 3rd. The last game they played in Tyler was the BEST little league game I've ever seen (even if they weren't the winners). After being down 17 to 1 at the end of the 1st inning, our boys battled back and put 15 runs on the board - AMAZING! It was exciting!!!! I am so proud of these players. WAY TO GO BIG BLUE!!!!!
