Lamar Little League Allstars

The Lamar Little League Allstars had a FANTASTIC playoff season. I went to as many games as I could, and they won sectionals, district, and area. To congratulate them on such a great run, I made them these awesome trading cards:

FRONTBACK

The boys made it all the way to the State Finals Tournament where they came in 3rd. The last game they played in Tyler was the BEST little league game I've ever seen (even if they weren't the winners). After being down 17 to 1 at the end of the 1st inning, our boys battled back and put 15 runs on the board - AMAZING! It was exciting!!!! I am so proud of these players. WAY TO GO BIG BLUE!!!!!

Here's one of my favorite images from the playoff season:

I can't wait for the next round of playoffs - only this time I hope it's just as exciting, but with our team being the winners!

My Close Friend

I had the pleasure of photographing a very close friend's precious little baby.

The Precious Little Baby

And then, we did a session for all of the boys.

All the Boys

I really enjoyed working with these little "men", and I can't wait to do a nice family picture of the whole family when their dad gets back in town.

The person who makes these ingenious creations is in the process of building her website, but keep checking www.cakefakes.com for more information on how to order your very own fake cake.

Forever Dance Spring Performance

The end of the school year is a very busy time - end of school activities, excitement of the coming summer vacation, and performance after performance for the kids various activities.

Terra is a dance student at Forever Dance, and I created custom trading cards for her to share with her friends.

FRONTBACK

Terra just loved these, and she loved passing them out to all of her friends.

So, then came Terra's big performance - the one she worked on all year, and it was just DARLING!

Terra as the little ballerina.

Terra and the nerds!

Terra received flowers from her brother and cousin during the curtain call.

One of my favorite images from the whole night.

And, the cutest little bees I've ever seen!

There were so many wonderful moments that I had the chance to capture, but I don't have enough room to post them all here . . .

Foster Flairs Spring Performance

The Foster Flairs is the drill team for our local high school. As one of their fundraising activities, the team hosted a dance clinic. After attending the dance clinic the participants were invited to perform what they learned in the Flairs Spring Performance. Here are some of my favorite

Terra during the performance.

One of my favorites from the performance.

Another one of my favorites from the performance.

It was a great show!!!! Terra had such fun, and made some wonderful new friends. Now, she is looking forward to becoming a Flair when she is in High School. Many thanks to all of those students, teachers, and parents whose hard work made my daughter's participation possible.

The Beginning

. . . is a very good place to start, and this is my beginning - well, at the least the beginning of my "blogging"! Who would have thought????

I guess starting with this simple hello will do for now, and please know - exciting info will be here in the near future!

One EXCITING piece of news: I have officially begun the quest to be the ONLY Certified Professional Photographer in the Richmond/Rosenberg/Sugar Land/Needville/East Bernard/Stafford/Beasley/Damon/Guy/Fairchilds area! Which is nearly the whole county!

Why is this so exciting? Well, this certification comes from the oldest professional photographer's association in the world - PPA (aka - Professional Photographer's of America), and not just anyone can get it! You have to earn it. The requirements are strict: first, you submit your 20 image portfolio (which must met or exceed print competition standards), and you must pass a written exam. Once these are completed, you must not only maintain this level, but you must continue to grow professionally, artistically, and personally through periodic portfolio reviews and continuing education.

So, as soon as I receive the news that I have obtained certification, I will let you know!
